What we offer

We plan activities where the children can learn new skills, work together and build new friendships.

Like all great things, we started small, it took a few like-minds with a shared vision—and ran with it. Today, we’ve grown into something big supporting youth within our community.

We all have a passion at Step Out, to make new friends, to learn new skill, respect each other and help each other.

Activities we offer

Sports Activities

Step Out offer a large range of sports, either inside or out. Like dodge ball, snooker, rounders, just to name a few. During the warmer weather we attend and run outside sport activities  like archery, water sport, rock climbing etc. We are very lucky to also own a lot of our own equipment due to local funders.
All instructors we used have been DBS checked as well as qualification & insurance.

Computer Chill Zone

We have our own computer chill zone room fitted with Xbox 1, Xbox 360, PS3 & PS4.
All games are age related and children are supervised at all times by a staff member or volunteers.

Crafts

We run a wide range of craft activities, some are completed in one session, while others may take longer, or taken home to complete. This includes cooking, wood work, knitting, paniting and carving etc.

Trips & Events

Each year we plan a number of day trips away from the youth group. This gives the children chance to enjoy being away plus working as a team building and learning new skills. The youth group also take part in a number of events in the community, to help advertise the group. We use these events to raise extra income to support the group.

Tuck Shop

The group offers a small tuck shop at both sessions. They offer a range of products from just 10p.
Your child would be able to buy treats and a drink for £1.00.
Water is always available.
If your child has and dietary needs, please make us aware.

Learning New Skills

We try and over the children the opportunity to learn new skills from cooking to growing their own food from seeds to working in the community wood workshop.
